About

Jessica Bayes is a Highlands Ranch, Colorado Licensed Massage Therapist since 2005. She began her career after being influenced by her grandmother who was a massage therapist and seeing the benefits of massage first hand while she managed a spa in Parker, Colorado. She went to school at Colorado School of Healing Arts in Lakewood, Colorado and completed their 700 hour program and has since then has had many hours of continuing education. Jessica began her career in the spa industry learning techniques that spas are known for such as Swedish massage and hot stones. These massages are often combinations long smooth strokes with lighter pressure allowing the muscles to relax along with gentle kneading to help break up muscle knots which are called adhesions.

She transitioned from the spa industry to being contracted by a chiropractor in Littleton where she focused working closely with chronic pain patients where more aggressive techniques such as deep tissue, neuromuscular were used. This style of massage helps to release the fascia (elastic type of connective tissue that wraps around the muscle) adhesions (more commonly referred to as knots).Jessica will sit down with you and discuss what your goals are with treatment and if you have a style and pressure you prefer. You will be in a warm room with low lighting and soft music to help you relax as you lay on a heated table for your treatment. From there she will warm up the muscle using Swedish massage and will slowly work into the depth of massage you are comfortable with while focusing on the areas that you discussed previously.
